I kind of hope it would be via a Ron Paul presidency but its hard to imagine him winning even a hypothetical election. I would love for his rabid, puppet followers to have that be their last vision.

Super pandemic that kills quickly
It leaves all the world's infrastructure intact, making the entire planet a playground.
I would say Rapture, but I don't think that many people would be taken, especially from those that believe in it and say they are "ready."

I've never understood that part of the movie.
Do you have any idea how long it would take a giant marshmallow man to destroy the entire world?
Not to mention... in the event that the Ghostbusters couldn't stop it, it's made of marshmallows. Nuke it when its out over the ocean floating or something.
