As stated in initial post it is decal because even with all the add-on's it still crashes.

It's most definitly to do with decal itself and the client I beleive

There is a sp2 for vista but I dont think Decal will show it. Just to be on the safe side I would run windows update. Service Pack 2 is required to get decal working correctly. Start Menu >>> windows update.

You may have to run windows update several times to get all of the updates. Keep running it after restarts until it says no more updates are available.

You can get the latest video drivers by going to http://www.ati.com and then click on display drivers. There is a an automatic search feature on their website to look for updated drivers. I can not give you a link directly because I do not know if you are running Vista32 or 64.

The download link is at the bottom of the page. Don't forget to run windows update before you install this.

This exact thing happened on my laptop. It turned out that I needed to specify a port in the userpreference.ini, then open that port on my router. While I was doing that, I went ahead and assigned a static IP address to the laptop. It's been working fine ever since.

And - How much RAM does your system have? I didn't see it on your export. Decal and LTX are known for memory leaks, so that may be something for you to look at.

Well I did the port forwarding on my router and still isn't working.

I can't figure out how to create my own static IP though.

And how do I figure my RAM so I can post it for you guys?

Thanks again.

This website will show you step-by-step how to setup your network to work with AC.
http://www.portforward.com On the first page scroll to the bottom and select your router and on the second page click the "skip this advertisement" at the top. You do not need to buy anything. Just continue through each page and follow their instructions.

I already did that bro. I made the port 9007 (since it has to be between 9000-9010) - and then did the Port Forwarding already with my router. That is already done, and still not working.

Here's how you set a static IP using vista

Since you set one specific port, you need to go into the settings.ini file for AC and specify that port for use.

Yeah already changed the port in the AC text file.

and just did the ipconfig /all and got my IP, subnet mask, default gateway, and then called my provider and got my current DNS - (and the internet wont work). So put it back on default.

This is becoming such a headache...even though its still not working, I appreciate all the advice
